Geraldine Gatehouse, coordinator of last year's HE auction committee, has stepped up to co-chair this year's HE along with Gabriel Haigazian. Plans are underway to make this year's 10th Annual Holiday Event a program to remember.
Date and location for the 10th Annual Holiday Event is December 15-16 at Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Villas & Spa in Indian Wells.
The event opens with a golf tournament and optional activities on Monday, December 15 with the silent auction, luncheon and live auction on Tuesday, December 16.
Tourism Vancouver has
for the second year in a row agreed to be a Platinum Sponsor of the
event through our St

2007 Holiday Event Theme:
Grand Dreams... A Grand Success

We are once again amazed at the generous contributions and cheerful purchasing by the travel and hospitality industry at our 2007 SITE-SoCal Holiday Event. In fact, we're thrilled to say our Grand Dreams became a Grand Success. Thanks to everyone who donated and purchased, we raised $152,000 to split amongst our four charities and the Karen Olhava-Henderson Memorial Fund.
Outgoing Financial Officer, Joe Viña, announced the amount in a heartfelt letter emailed to members and supporters on January 7th. You can read Joe's letter here.

The two-day event was held this year at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego on December 12 & 13, 2007. Take a peek at our online photo gallery of this wonderful event here.
The SITE-SoCal Holiday Event kicked off on December 12 with the golf tournament at The Grand Del Mar's Tom Fazio-designed course.
For those who prefered to relax and network, we held Holiday Heaven -- an afternoon of martinis, mini-spa treatments and socializing in the Grand Del Mar's beautiful Capella Chapel.
Later the evening of December 12th, we enjoyed a
cocktail reception
and golf awards
under the San Diego stars on The Grand Del Mar's Aria Lawn.
On December 13th, the festivities
continued with breakfast, a mini-tradeshow, a reception with silent
auction and culminated with the luncheon and live auction.
The outstanding generosity of our donors and bidders
enabled us to make significant contributions to our four charity
beneficiaries and the newly established
Karen Olhava-Henderson Memorial
Fund.

2006 Holiday Event Raises $100,000 for Charities

The 2006 SITE-SoCal Holiday Event & Charity Auction is now a memory, but thanks to the support of a generous incentive travel community we raised more than $100,000 for our three charity beneficiaries. The two day event was held at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California on December 13-14th. We are humbled with gratitude to our worldwide partners who've made this another incredible year with auction donations totaling more than $100,000.
