Summer is here! -- and what better place to celebrate summer than San Diego? Site Southern California invites you to our 2nd Annual summer meeting to be held on San Diego's Big Bay August 11 & 12. We will begin on August 11 with an early evening reception aboard a Hornblower Yacht, followed by an afterglow Rendezvous at the Andaz Hotel. On August 12 we will venture over to the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego for a Continental Breakfast and Vendor Showcase, followed by luncheon and a special speaker, Dr. Lalia Rach.

I've just returned, as have many of you, from an outstanding conference at IMEX in Frankfurt. It was refreshing to see over 3,800 buyers in attendance, many of them from the USA and Canada and many of them with RFP's in hand. There was a definite hum and buzz in Frankfurt and let's hope the light at the end of the tunnel is burning a bit brighter these days.

The Chapter elections for our 2011 Board of Directors will again take place in late November and the new Board will take office effective January 1, 2011.

This year, we will have several incumbent Board members who are stepping down at the completion of their term of office. We are therefore starting the process to identify possible candidates earlier than usual.
